On Monday night, a video went viral showing Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence shoving an opponent during a pickup basketball game.

Lawrence seemed to take issue with a screen being set 80 feet away from the basket, and got up in the other guy’s face before shoving him.

Once the video went viral, Lawrence issued a comment on the situation. It wasn’t exactly an apology, but he did admit his reaction may have gone a bit too far:

If this is how Lawrence’s pickup basketball games are going to go, coach Dabo Swinney may have to step in and ban the star quarterback from doing something that might get him injured or suspended.

The other guy wasn’t without fault, though, as you don’t set a screen on your school’s star quarterback during a meaningless basketball game — especially that far away from the basket.
