MACtion never fails to disappoint, and that was certainly the case on the final play of the Western Michigan-Ball State game on Saturday.

With a spot in the MAC title game on the line, utter insanity broke out on the final play of the fourth quarter, with Ball State clinging to a 30-27 lead.

Between the 2 videos below, you can see the full play in action, featuring several laterals and both teams making their way onto the field while the ball was still live. It certainly was iffy at best whether there was an illegal forward pass:

The Western Michigan touchdown wasn’t allowed to stand due to the called illegal forward pass, so Ball State held on for the 30-27 victory.

However, that play will go down as one of the wildest to take place during the wacky 2020 season.
