The College Football Playoff is likely going to change at some point, possibly expanding to eight teams.

However, North Carolina coach Mack Brown has a different idea to make the Playoff better, and his only involves an expansion to six teams.

During an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Thursday, Brown laid out his play to include all five Power 5 conference champions and an at-large team. Then, he added that the Group of 5 schools should play for their own title:

Having the Group of 5 schools play for a title of their own is certainly an interesting idea, but teams like UCF want a chance to play with the big schools.

There will be a lot of debate over the coming years regarding CFP expansion, so we’ll see what happens.
