Mantrez Walker, an elite linebacker in the class of 2025, is nearing a final decision.

On Friday afternoon, Walker announced his top 4 programs and said he will share his commitment on Feb. 11. He’s considering LSU, Florida, Michigan and Penn State.

Here’s his announcement:

Walker is a linebacker prospect from Buford, Georgia. He has become one of the best linebacker prospects in the country for the class of 2025. In addition to these 4 programs, he has offers from places like Michigan State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Tennessee, amongst others.

Walker does not currently have a 247Sports Composite ranking, as it is still very early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. However, that could change in the coming weeks and months as more scouts are able to evaluate him as a prospect.

LSU already has 2 commitments in the class of 2025: cornerback Jaylen Bell and receiver Brett Bordelon. The group currently ranks No. 9 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Florida does not yet have any commitments in the class of 2025.
