Marcus Spears tweets thank you message to SEC fans as he prepares for role on NFL Live
For the past few seasons, former LSU DL Marcus Spears has been a mainstay on the SEC Network and on the “SEC Nation” pregame show on Saturdays.
Now, though, he’s working his way up the ESPN ladder, making appearances on a number of the network’s top programs. And, this season, he’ll be leaving the SEC behind to join “NFL Live” with Laura Rutledge, Mina Kimes, Dan Orlovsky and Keyshawn Johnson.
As he prepares for his new role this season, he took to Twitter on Tuesday to thank SEC fans for making his 5 years on SEC Nation amazing:
SEC fam – THANK YOU! I’m so appreciative of my five seasons on SEC Nation – @SECNetwork took a chance on me and it was a true blessing to cover the conference I once played in – once a LSU Tiger, always a LSU Tiger. #sec #gratitude #family #geauxtigers pic.twitter.com/JVLNfs4JBW

Spears is sure to be a hit on NFL Live, just as he was popular on SEC Nation. He’ll be missed as a mainstay on Saturdays!
