Massachusetts has not been shy about playing Southeastern Conference opponents in the past and will continue to do so well into the future as the school has announced several future games against two SEC football programs.

UMass traveled to Athens in 2018 and suffered a 66-27 loss. The program also traveled to Tennessee and Mississippi State in 2017, losing both those contests. The Minutemen will try and make things more competitive in opening contests against Missouri and Mississippi State in the seasons to come.

The Minutemen announced a home-and-home with Missouri for the 2024, 2025 seasons on Thursday. Specific dates for these games have not yet been announced.

In addition to those games, UMass will play at Mississippi State Oct. 19, 2024. That game was originally scheduled for Oct. 17, 2020. Any Hail State fans eager to watch UMass in action will have to patiently wait a few more seasons to do so.
