Michigan sees final offensive play of Fiesta Bowl loss to TCU fail in embarrassing fashion

Michigan’s final offensive play of the Fiesta Bowl was a perfect encapsulation of the CFP semifinal between the Wolverines and TCU Horned Frogs; Pure chaos.
Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy fumbled the snap on 4th and 10 with the clock ticking ever closer to zeroes. A Michigan offensive lineman picked it up and lateralled to running back Donovan Edwards, who flung it forward in a desperate attempt for a first down. It was never close and Michigan turned it over on downs.
And with that, TCU wins the Fiesta Bowl and will face one of Georgia or Ohio State in the National Championship game. Below is the play in question.

What a truly wild game! TCU put up much more of a fight than most likely expected against the previously undefeated Wolverines with strong offensive play and 2 Pick Six touchdowns.
Michigan was uncharacteristically sloppy as well, perhaps as shown by the final play. The Wolverines suffered from multiple defensive breakdowns throughout the night and struggled finishing in the Red Zone before finally figuring it out in the second half.
Unfortunately for Jim Harbaugh, it was too little too late. He is still chasing a championship to add to his head coaching resume.
