Mike Renner releases 2023 Top 10 Mock Draft, includes 6 SEC stars
Mike Renner of PFF has released his Top 10 NFL Mock Draft, predicting 6 SEC stars to go within the first 10 picks. Of those 6, Renner predicts the first 4 selections will all be from the SEC.
Renner has Bryce Young going first overall to the Indianapolis Colts, via the Chicago Bears who would trade to the 4th overall pick to take Georgia’s Jalen Carter. Renner sees Houston taking Kentucky’s Will Levis and Arizona selecting Alabama’s Will Anderson.
Anthony Richardson is predicted to Carolina while Renner has Philadelphia taking Alabama safety Brian Branch.
Here are the remainder of Renner’s predictions.

As you can see, 3 of the 4 quarterbacks taken in the top 10, per Renner, would be from the SEC. Only CJ Stroud out of Ohio State hails from outside the conference.
The top 5 picks of this draft will be particularly interesting for the SEC. Where will Levis fall? Could Chicago potentially take Bryce Young first overall?
We’ll find out soon enough.
No way Levis gets taken over Stroud.
Panthers are stupid enough to take AR, who can’t read a defense to save his life.
there will be many of these lists coming out until the draft. I just dont understand the attraction of Levis or AR, at least not at this pick. I can see Levis as a mid to late second rounder and AR as a 3rd or later round. he is such a project. I can see will and jalen where they are. I would be wary of BY only because of his size. I just see him getting hurt a lot. if he gets with a team with a really good O line and isnt running for his life every play like he did in college a lot then he could be really good but thats a big if. Indy will have to give up the farm and the livestock to get him. If I needed a player like anderson or carter I would take one of them first. if not I would trade and get the farm and livestock.
Stroud and Young will be the first two QBs taken.
If this is what winds up happening, Houston and Carolina are going to have a bad time.
