The 2021 recruiting cycle is underway, though in-person recruiting activities have been halted until at least April 15.

However, the 2022 cycle is also starting up, as it’s always important to stay ahead of the curve on the recruiting trails.

On Wednesday, 247Sports recruiting expert Barton Simmons wrote about No. 1 2022 recruit Shemar Stewart and named 4 schools that are among Stewart’s favorites:

Stewart has a five-star list of suitors and has already indicated that Miami, LSU, Georgia and Oregon are among his favorites. Currently no 247Sports experts have logged a Crystal Ball prediction.

Stewart is listed as a strong-side defensive end and attends Monsignor Pace High School in Opa Locka, Florida.

Will he end up in the SEC in 2022? We’ll find out as the recruiting process plays out.
