While NBC already airs the All-American Bowl every year, the network now owns the game outright.

NBC announced the news on Monday after broadcasting the game nationally every year dating back to 2004.

In addition to owning the game, NBC Sports now plans to extend the coverage of the event by showing some of the work that leads up to the game. The All-American Bowl has an annual selection tour process, which will now be recorded and used by NBC to market the game.

“We are excited to continue the incredible legacy of the All-American Bowl, and engage the wide-ranging assets of NBC Sports Group and NBCUniversal to elevate the game to new heights,” said Gary Quinn, Vice President of Programming, NBC Sports in a released statement. “From Andrew Luck to Odell Beckham Jr., and Tua Tagovailoa to Trevor Lawrence, the All-American Bowl is synonymous with football excellence, and we look forward to adding this marquee event to our premium roster of owned properties.”

“After twenty years, we are proud and excited to hand-off leadership of the All-American Bowl and its related properties to NBC Sports,” said Douglas Berman, Chairman and CEO of All American Games added in the statement released by NBC. “They will be great stewards of the event into the future.”

The rosters for next season’s All-American Bowl Game have yet to be finalized but you can be sure that the majority of the prospects will be committed to playing their college football in the Southeastern Conference.
