NCAA denies waiver for former Coastal Carolina lineman who wants to transfer to be with ailing mother

The NCAA is a joke at this point, and on Tuesday, they made yet another completely laughable and horrible decision.
Per Coastal Carolina OL Brock Hoffman’s Twitter page, the NCAA has denied his medical hardship waiver to transfer to Virginia Tech.
Hoffman wants to be closer to his mother, who is recovering after having surgery to remove a brain tumor. Hoffman made a pretty convincing argument on Twitter:

In the wake of a guy like former Ohio State QB Tate Martell being granted immediate eligibility at Miami, it’s ridiculous that Hoffman wouldn’t be allowed to play right away.
He has filed an appeal, though, so hopefully the NCAA sees the error of its ways (for once) and reverses this decision.
