It was a volatile week in SEC men’s basketball, but no more so than it was across college basketball, which on Monday saw a record-tying seventh different team be ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25.

Baylor took over the top spot from Gonzaga even though both teams won because many voters felt the Bulldogs’ conference schedule was too weak.

Kentucky, which lost to South Carolina then beat Arkansas, and Auburn, which lost to Alabama and Florida, fell to No. 15 and No. 16, after they were each ranked No. 10 and No. 4. LSU, Florida and Arkansas also received votes, but were outside of the top 25.

Speaking of the Gators, they will see Baylor on Saturday in Gainesville in the Big 12/SEC Challenge where there are several matchups from across those conferences. Also on Saturday, Tennessee will play at No. 3 Kansas, Missouri will play at No. 14 West Virginia, No. 15 Kentucky will play at No. 18 Texas Tech, and No. 16 Auburn will play host to Iowa State, among games that involve ranked teams.

The rest of the schedule is Kansas State-Alabama, TCU-Arkansas, Oklahoma State-Texas A&M, Mississippi State-Oklahoma and LSU-Texas.
