Super Bowl LV will be held in Tampa this season with limited attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, there will still be a halftime show, sponsored by Pepsi, and on Thursday, the NFL announced the performer for the show.
As you can see below, The Weeknd will be the headliner for the show at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ home stadium:

The Weeknd has had several chart-topping hits, including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights” and others.
Performers often bring in other artists for cameos during the halftime show. It seems likely that The Weeknd will follow suit, but we’ll see how much COVID-19 affects the NFL’s plans for a big halftime show during the broadcast on CBS.
