The NFL Scouting Combine starts in a few days in Indianapolis, and many top SEC draft prospects will be in attendance.

How many will go on Day 1 of the 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas in April? That is still open to speculation.

In his latest 2020 mock draft, NFL.com analyst Chad Reuter projected 14 SEC players to hear their names called in Round 1. As you can see below, Alabama leads the way with 6 first-round picks:

  • No. 1 — Joe Burrow, QB, LSU — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 3 — Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 7 — Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 8 — Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 10 — K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 12 — Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama — Las Vegas Raiders
  • No. 15 — Jedrick Wills Jr., OL, Alabama — New York Jets
  • No. 16 — Andrew Thomas, OL, Georgia — Cleveland Browns
  • No. 17 — Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama — Dallas Cowboys

  • No. 31 — Grant Delpit, S, LSU — San Francisco 49ers
  • No. 32 — D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia — Kansas City Chiefs

Reuter projects 10 SEC players to go in Round 2 and 10 more in Round 3. That would make 34 total SEC players going in the first 3 rounds. See Reuter’s full projections here.
