House cleaning move: NFL team announces firing of head coach, general manager
This is what happens when you get embarrassed on national television on Thanksgiving.
After losing to the Houston Texans at home on Thursday by a 41-25 margin, the Detroit Lions have fired general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia. The team announced the news on Saturday.
Following the loss to Houston, Detroit fell to 4-7 on the season. The Lions are currently in last place in the NFC North division.
Patricia ends his tenure in Detroit with a 13-29-1 overall record in his two and a half seasons with the team.

I’d love to hear one of those fired coaches at a press conference “why is it always the coach who’s fired? Why don’t we fire some of the slack-assed linemen who can’t block or the butterfingered wr’s who can’t catch”?
They are responsible for which players are on the team.
