NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller names NFL QB 'ceilings' for Tua Tagovailoa, Joe Burrow
The 2020 NFL Draft is only a few days away, and a couple of SEC quarterbacks — LSU’s Joe Burrow and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa — are basically locks to be top-10 picks (if not top-5 picks).
On Saturday, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller tweeted out NFL ceilings for his top 6 quarterbacks in the draft class, and his ceilings for Burrow and Tagovailoa were pretty strong.
As you can see below, he thinks Burrow’s ceiling is Aaron Rodgers and Tagovailoa’s ceiling is Drew Brees:
QB1: Joe Burrow / NFL Ceiling: Aaron Rodgers
QB2: Tua Tagovailoa / NFL Ceiling: Drew Brees
QB3: Justin Herbert / NFL Ceiling: Carson Wentz
QB4: Jordan Love / NFL Ceiling: Josh Allen
QB5: Jalen Hurts / NFL Ceiling: Dak Prescott
QB6: Jacob Eason / NFL Ceiling: Derek Carr

Considering those guys are future Hall of Fame quarterbacks, those are some lofty comparisons. Of course, Miller isn’t saying that’s who Tua and Burrow will be in the NFL ranks. He’s just saying that’s the potential they have.
We’ll find out on Thursday where these 2 former SEC stars end up for the start of their NFL careers.
