NFL Mock Draft season is officially here, and now that the NFL regular season has ended, expect projections to heat up. The Tennessee Titans are on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick and just fired their general manager, so things are bound to get interesting.

With all the claims of the SEC dominance of college football coming to an end, the NFL Draft is where that would really manifest itself. And that doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen this year.

Pro Football Focus’s draft expert, Trevor Sikkema, released his latest Round 1 projections, and he has an impressive 15 SEC standouts going in the first round in April:

  • No. 4 — Will Campbell, OL, LSU — New England Patriots
  • No. 9 — Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M — New Orleans Saints
  • No. 10 — Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas — Chicago Bears
  • No. 11 — Jalon Walker, Edge, Georgia — San Francisco 49ers
  • No. 15 — James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 16 — Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 17 — Luther Burden III, WR, Mizzou — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 18 — Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 19 — Cameron Williams, OL, Texas — Houston Texans
  • No. 20 — Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 26 — Mykel Williams, DL, Georgia — Washington Commanders
  • No. 28 — Trey Amos, DB, Ole Miss — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 29 — Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 30 — Princely Umanmielen, DL, Ole Miss — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 32 — Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas — Detroit Lions

The pre-draft process is just getting started. Expect more updates around the NFL Combine and when Pro Days begin. But for now, this is a great start for the SEC’s hopes of dominating the NFL Draft once again.

This year’s NFL Draft runs from April 24-26, 2025, and will be held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
