Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is a former Heisman Trophy winner.

And he certainly has proven to be phenomenal — at times.

But Jackson’s career stats against SEC teams don’t really hold up in comparison with his numbers against … other … competition.

The SEC, as a whole, has been able to shut down Jackson for the most part.

The tweet below from SEC Network host Peter Burns indicates that Jackson’s completion percentage vs. the SEC is significantly lower (49 percent) than his completion percentage against non-SEC teams (57 percent).

Also, Jackson has thrown just as many interceptions as he has touchdowns vs. SEC opponents. He also has a losing record against the SEC after Saturday’s 31-27 TaxSlayer Bowl loss to Mississippi State.

Is the former Heisman winner ready for the NFL?
