Nick Saban has been having some fun with things ever since he turned from a legendary college football head coach to a national broadcaster on the sport. Most recently, he called out two of his former coaches in hilarious fashion while sharing the GameDay stage with them.
Those are Kirby Smart and Steve Sarkisian, who will be facing each other head to head as Georgia and Texas face off in the SEC Championship Game.
“I think they’re both bullshitting us,” Saban said after the two coaches explained their approach to the game how things may be perceived from the outside, something Smart has been particularly outspoken about in wake of the criticism star quarterback Carson Beck has faced this season. Saban had dropped another not-for-TV word earlier in the show.

Smart was a member of Saban’s staff at Alabama from 2007-15. His stint in Tuscaloosa included 4 national championships for the Crimson Tide (2009, ’11, ’12, ’15).
Sarkisian had multiple stints on Saban’s Alabama staff before and after his time with the Atlanta Falcons. Sarkisian was Alabama’s offensive coordinator before taking the head coaching job at Texas.
How the two match up in a highly important postseason game with the College Football Playoff ahead just ahead will be something to watch. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
