Nike's elite summer high school event The Opening Finals moving to new location in 2018
Every summer, the nation’s elite football prospects descend on Nike world headquarters in Oregon to compete in skill contests, 7-on-7 competitions and of course, mingle and lightly recruit one another at The Opening Finals.
While that event isn’t going anywhere, it won’t be in Oregon this year. Nike announced Wednesday that the nation’s premier high school summer event will be held in Texas this year, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to be exact.

It’s at The Opening Finals where the winner of annual Elite 11 competition is named each year as well. The full list of this year’s participants has yet to be finalized, as the regional Openings are still ongoing.
