College football makes for big business around the nation. And it’s not surprising to see a number of SEC programs among the top 25 most valuable in the sport.

The most valuable SEC program in the country, according to GoBankingRates, is Georgia, which raked in $85 million in the 2019-20 season, good for 3rd nationally. Alabama, at No. 6, made $61 million, while Tennessee ($60 million) and Texas A&M ($55 million) were Nos. 7 and 8. Arkansas rounded out the top 10 at $52 million, with Auburn ($51 million; 11th), Florida ($51 million, 13th), and Ole Miss ($49 million, 14th) placing in the top 15. South Carolina, at No. 21 with $43 million, was the final school in the top 25.

As far as the most valuable program in the nation? That’s Oklahoma, which brought in $101 million, followed by Texas ($97 million) at No. 2. Of course, those 2 are headed to the SEC by 2025, with talk of that occurring as soon as 2024.

While these revenue numbers are from the 2019-20 seasons, it will be interesting to see what movement is made among these programs in the future, especially given LSU and Georgia’s national championships, the latest wave of realignment, and the expanded College Football Playoff.
