Ole Miss star Robert Nkemdiche has been cleared to play Saturday against Auburn, barring any setbacks.
Robert Nkemdiche (concussion) is “cleared to go” against Auburn as long as he doesn’t have any more symptoms, Hugh Freeze said. #OleMiss

Nkemdiche suffered a concussion in the second quarter of the Rebels’ 37-24 loss to Memphis on Oct. 19. He was initially cleared to play in last week’s game against Texas A&M, but was held out after experiencing headaches the day of the game. Ole Miss defeated the Aggies 23-3.
Nkemdiche, widely considered one of the top defensive tackles in the nation, has 17 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and four quarterback hurries this season.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said that a decision would be made on defensive back Tony Conner on Friday. Conner has been out since suffering a torn meniscus in the Rebels’ 43-37 win over Alabama on Sept. 19. He returned to practice on Wednesday.
Freeze: Tony Conner (knee) has practiced on a limited basis this week. Decision on whether he travels to likely be made “sometime tomorrow.”
