No sense of irony? Tom Herman sour over Will Grier’s ‘celebration’

West Virginia beat Texas 42-41 on Saturday. After scoring a touchdown to make it 41-40 with 16 seconds left, the Mountaineers elected to go for two – essentially going for the win instead of playing for overtime.

West Virginia QB Will Grier ran it in for the two-point play. As he ran, Grier stuck the ball out.

WVU fans believe it was an effort to make sure the ball crossed the plane no matter what. Texas head coach Tom Herman believed it was “taunting.”

The fact that Herman would take issue with what Grier did after mocking Mizzou QB Drew Lock’s touchdown celebration was not lost on people.
