Not so fast, my friend: College GameDay switches from SEC to ACC for championship weekend
Originally, the popular ESPN show College GameDay announced it would be heading to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta between Auburn and Georgia.
However, the show’s Twitter account deleted that tweet and instead announced it would be heading to the ACC Championship Game between Miami and Clemson in Charlotte.
As you can see below, the new tweet hypes up the show airing from the likely College Football Playoff elimination game in Charlotte:
Win and you're (probably) in.

The show was just in Auburn last weekend for the Iron Bowl, so perhaps that made a difference in the decision to move it to Charlotte.
Or, perhaps it comes down to television rights, as the ESPN family of networks will air the ACC game, while CBS will cover the SEC matchup.
Either way, the show won’t be in Atlanta next weekend, so sleep in a little bit if you’re going to be in town for the SEC Championship Game.
