Offensive lineman from Navy dies after being found unresponsive
The Naval Academy is in mourning this weekend, as a senior offensive lineman has passed away.
Per news from Navy, David Forney, age 22, was found unresponsive in Bancroft Hall on campus and later died.
Per the report, Forney was a three-year letterman and started all 13 games for the Midshipmen last season:

“Words cannot express our pain and sorrow,” said Navy head football coach Ken Niumatalolo. “First and foremost, our deepest condolences to the Forney family. The Navy Football Brotherhood is not a team, we are a family. We are devastated to have lost one of our brothers. We all loved – and will always love – David. We pray for strength during this most difficult time.”
Forney was a native of Maryland and would have graduated in May.
