Officials sometimes are in the way, and it makes for great tv every time.

A referee in the Army-Boston College game got in the way of quarterback Thomas Castellanos, lowering his shoulder into the player while trying to move out of the way.

The Eagles’ QB headed straight for the ref, and he couldn’t get out of the way in time. The referee seemingly turned into a brick wall, leveling the Boston College player.

Cheers immediately rained down from Army fans.

To be fair, the referee made one heck of a tackle. Many teams around the country could use a solid tackler like that on their defense. You could tell that the official immediately knew he messed up by his reaction.

These kinds of plays are rare in college football, but when they happen it always make for a hilarious moment. It doesn’t look like it effected the game too much as the Eagles were up by multiple scores in the first half.
