While some SEC coaches know they have a lot of leeway before they’re on the hot seat, others can already feel the heat.
Though all but one SEC coach starting the 2017 season is the same one who ended the 2016 campaign (sorry, Ole Miss fans), there will likely be some shakeups this year.
Entering the 2017 season, it’s probable that one or more coaches will get the axe at some point, and BetOnline.ag has released its first odds on who will be the first coach fired:

Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin and Tennessee’s Butch Jones lead the way at +140 odds, while Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Alabama’s Nick Saban are relatively safe at +5000.
Interestingly, new LSU coach Ed Orgeron (who took over for the fired Les Miles early last year) is fourth on the list, with +800 odds.
No coach is ever truly safe, but this list makes it clear that the Aggies and the Volunteers will need to get off to hot starts if their coaches are going to keep their jobs.
