Pat McAfee is in his second season as a full-time analyst on “College GameDay.” The ESPN personality isn’t sure if there will be a Season 3.

On Sunday, McAfee commented on a recent reader survey by The Athletic. McAfee quoted a Chris Vannini post showing that 30.1% of readers who responded like McAfee on GameDay, while 48.9% are not fans and 21% had no opinion.

In a lengthy post, McAfee revealed that the reaction to his role on “GameDay” has him unsure about committing to the 2024 season. McAfee says he has not re-signed his “GameDay” contract.

“To the 49%, I have some great news,” McAfee wrote in the post. “I have heard you all very loud and clear since the beginning of my stint with GameDay. It’s one of the biggest reasons why I have not resigned a contract with the legendary show. I’m not right for some crowds and the “distinguished” College Football folks are definitely one of those.

“Excited to enjoy the rest of this year, that’s shaping up to be a GREAT one, and then see what the future holds.”

McAfee first began appearing on GameDay in 2019. He was promoted to a full-time role on Sept. 7, 2022.
