With the SEC season already through 9 weeks, we’re coming down the stretch run in the SEC and a number of other conferences.

We’ve seen some high-level performances, particularly from a group of quarterbacks that have been putting up astonishing numbers.

On Sunday morning’s SportsCenter, SEC Network host Paul Finebaum named his top 3 Heisman Trophy candidates. As you can see below, a pair of SEC quarterbacks made his list:

  1. Kyle Trask, Florida
  2. Justin Fields, Ohio State
  3. Mac Jones, Alabama

Trask has a whopping 31 touchdown passes through 7 SEC games. That’s the most a player has ever had in an entire season against SEC competition.

Fields, on the other hand, threw 3 interceptions in Ohio State’s narrow win over Indiana. We’ll see if he drops off moving forward.
