It will be an SEC West showdown in Oxford, Mississippi this Saturday as Ole Miss sets to host Texas A&M at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. A statement game is in the cards for both squads as the Rebels look to avoid a third loss on the season while the Aggies try to remain in the College Football Playoff conversation.

It hasn’t been an easy road for the Rebels since their Week 3 upset win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The team dropped road games against Florida and Memphis and will return home with hopes that their victory against the Crimson Tide wasn’t just a fluke. However, ticket prices on the secondary market have fallen considerably on the secondary market since the beginning of the week, and the average price will likely dip below $100 before kickoff Saturday.

According to TiqIQ the average secondary market price for Ole Miss vs Texas A&M tickets is $113.27. That marks a 69.1% drop from the peak average of $366.57 on October 3. The cheapest ticket to the game is now $48, 75.8% lower than the October 3 get-in price of $199.

With the Aggies looking to hold on to their relevance in the polls, fans traveling from out of town hoping to attend Saturday’s game will find the best deals on Mississippi hotels on Hipmunk.com. Hotels in the Oxford area won’t be cheap for a weekend visit, though, as prices start at $269 per night while Airbnb rentals begin at $150 per night.

A loss at home would likely knock Ole Miss out of CFP contention, but there is plenty at stake for an A&M team reeling from a crucial Alabama loss last week. The SEC West battle looked like it was going to be a good matchup prior to the Aggies’ defeat and the Rebels’ dropped game to Memphis, though it still has potential to be a high-scoring game as both teams are keen on throwing the ball.

A&M quarterback Kyle Allen has thrown for 1,537 yards and 14 touchdowns but looked overpowered against Alabama, coughing up three interceptions in the 41-23 loss. Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly has posted a whopping 2,234 yards and 16 touchdowns but it also prone to the interception, giving away seven over his first seven college starts.

The two teams have met just seven times dating back to 1911. The Aggies have won six of those games, though the Rebels’ sole win came last season at College Station by a final score of 35-20.
