The Power Rank is back with its latest projections for the weekend recently being posted.
If you are unaware, The Power Rank was developed by analytics expert Ed Feng. Feng’s metrics have accurately predicted the winners of college football games from the 2015 season to the 2017 season 73.7 percent of the time — with an overall record of 1679-598. That number is even more impressive when you factor in that The Power Rank does not pick FBS games against FCS competition.
Last week, The Power Rank went 5-0 predicting games involving SEC teams.
Here is how The Power Rank predicts the Week 6 action to play out in the SEC:
- Auburn is projected to beat Florida by 5.2 points in Gainesville. The Gators have a 35 percent chance of winning this game.
- Ole Miss is projected to beat Vanderbilt by 7.2 points in Oxford. The Commodores have a 30 percent chance of winning this game.
- LSU is projected to beat Utah State by 23.9 points in Baton Rouge. The Tigers have a 95 percent chance of winning this game.
- Georgia is projected to beat Tennessee by 21.8 points in Knoxville. The Volunteers have a seven percent chance of winning this game.
- Missouri is projected to beat Troy by 20.7 points in Columbia. The Tigers have a 92 percent chance of winning this game.
