The most exciting slate of games this season is right around the corner. Seasons are going to be made or broken on Saturday, and the SEC’s playoff contenders could be whittled down to just one. What will everyone be talking about on Monday? Here’s what we think:

Todd Gurley doesn’t look like Todd Gurley. The dreads will still be there, but a month without game action will have the former Heisman candidate looking as rusty as the Tin Man. He’ll show some flashes against Auburn’s floundering defense, but sharing carries with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will allow Gurley to work himself back up to game speed.

Missouri’s offense makes Texas A&M’s defense look good. Maty Mauk hasn’t gotten much  help all season, and he’s going to have a whole lot of Myles Garrett in his face on Saturday. The Tigers are averaging less than 300 yards per game in SEC play, and even against a defense that hasn’t slowed anyone all season they won’t get it going. Mizzou’s SEC East hopes end at Kyle Field on Saturday.

Arkansas breaks through. It will have taken nearly two years under Bret Bielema, but the Razorbacks will finally get into the SEC win column against LSU. Neither team can throw the ball and leans heavily on the run, but Arkansas will be able to do it just a little better in a (hopefully snowy) slugfest. The Razorbacks try to dump Gatorade on Bielema, but it freezes before they can turn the cooler over.

Dak Prescott cements his Heisman case. Mississippi State may be a touchdown underdog, but that’s nothing new for these Bulldogs. Prescott will be at the top of his game against the Crimson Tide, racking up at least 5 total TD in the biggest win in State’s history.
