Prediction Machine predicts the SEC’s 2014 final records

NCAA Football: Missouri at Tennessee has their 2014 SEC projections complete, and no team will win over 10 games, according to the site.

Prediction Machine strives to be the country’s most accurate and trusted source for predicting sports outcomes, and the site claims to play the game 50,000 times before it happens.

Here are their SEC predictions:

  • Alabama 10 – 2
  • South Carolina 9.5 – 2.5
  • Georgia 9.5 – 2.5
  • Auburn 8.2 – 3.8
  • LSU 8 – 4
  • Mississippi State 7.7 – 4.3
  • Ole Miss 7.7 – 4.3
  • Texas A&M 7.3 – 4.7
  • Missouri 6.4 – 5.6
  • Florida 6.6 – 5.4
  • Tennessee 5.7 – 6.3
  • Vanderbilt 4.9 – 7.1
  • Arkansas 4.5 – 7.5
  • Kentucky 3.6 – 8.4

  • According to the site, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Kentucky will all miss bowl games, while Tennessee makes a bowl game.
  • Interestingly, no SEC team is predicted to win over 10 games, as the Tide are predicted to finish with 10 wins.
  • The Gamecocks and Bulldogs are expected to both finish with the same record – obviously not 9.5, but it could be more 9-3 or 10-2.
  • Mississippi State and Ole Miss are both expected to finish with the same record.
  • The site expects Auburn’s schedule to get the best of them, as the Tigers are predicted to finish with right at 8 wins.

  • I certainly wouldn’t want to wager any money on this prediction. Mizzou finished 12-2 last year. Granted, they lost 3 receivers, a so so quarterback, a few linemen and a good def. back. They will simply reload and move on. They played a lot of 2nd team players with lots of experience. I think this poll is selling the Tigers way too short.

    • Mizzou also caught UGA and UF in years the injury bug hit much harder than ever before. I think there will be some drop off this year. The Tigers simply haven’t recruited well enough long enough yet to get quality depth.

  • This poll is intended to make the SEC look bad and needle SEC fans. Every team has star players to replace every year. No one expected Mizzu, Auburn or SCar to do what they did last year. It will happen again this year. The BCS is dead not the SEC!!!

  • So absolutely no SEC will win more than 10 games this year………….yeah, whatever, this is b*llsh*t.

  • So 5.7 wins is bowl eligible? Oh, we are rounding up. No bowl for Tennessee.

  • There is absolutely no way that A&M’s offense is ranked worse than South Carolina and Alabama. The A&M offense will be among the top 10 if they have a total meltdown. They will most likely be among the top 5 in the nation. The move back to the Hurry Up No Huddle offense they employed back in 2012 will ensure that they run at least 10-15 plays more per game.
