There’s only so much new information that we get about our favorite college football teams from May to August.
Most of it is negative: we hear about it when someone gets injured, transfers or gets arrested. This week, at least, we get to hear directly from every SEC coach and a number of standout players at SEC Media Days.
One of the other fun aspects of this time of the year is reading all the national preseason magazines and determining expectations for every SEC team. That’s usually the framework by which we measure whether a season becomes a success.
We took a detailed look at ESPN, Lindy’s Sports, Athlon Sports, The Sporting News and Phil Steele to determine what the national media thinks about all 14 SEC teams this summer. We took a consensus for each team’s best players, biggest remaining questions and more.
Below you’ll find all 14 of the articles. We’re also listing the teams by order of projected division finish, according to the national media’s consensus.
