With the advanced development of high school prospects, the jump from high school to college for an athlete has been arguably easier than ever before.

This season is no different — as there are multiple true freshmen impacting the game for their respective programs.

Pro Football Focus released a piece detailing the top 10 true freshmen in the country based upon production through the first five weeks of the season.

The SEC in particular is exceptionally well represented — with five players on the list. Alabama signal-caller Jalen Hurts registers at No. 3, followed by Texas A&M RB Trayveon Williams (No. 5), Florida OT Jawaan Taylor (No. 6), Alabama RB Joshua Jacobs (No. 7) and Alabama OT Jonah Williams (No. 8).

The non-SEC individuals include Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence (No. 1), Houston DL Ed Oliver (No. 2), Michigan DL Rashan Gary (No. 4), Arizona State WR N’Keal Harry (No. 9) and Miami LB Michael Pinckney (No. 10).
