The SEC’s reputation as a physical, run-first league often puts its offensive lines in the spotlight.

Pro Football Focus took a closer look at their play in this week’s SEC offensive line rankings, which evaluated all 14 teams over their last eight games. PFF notes that because the sample size dates back to last season and includes FCS squads, the rankings can be a bit skewed.

The top two teams should come as no surprise, but it’s a little jarring to see LSU and Texas A&M in the bottom three considering their early success.

But as we get deeper into the season and PFF’s grades include just games from 2018, the picture should become a little clearer.
