3. Alabama (3-0) beat Southern Miss 52-12. Next: vs. Florida, Saturday — The Crimson Tide bruised, battered and baked Southern Miss and went over the 500-yard mark for the third straight game. Surprisingly, star tight end O.J. Howard still hasn’t caught a pass.

4. Oklahoma (3-0) beat Tennessee 34-10. Next: at West Virginia, Saturday

5. Auburn (2-0) BYE Next: at Kansas State, Thursday

6. Texas A&M (2-0) leads Rice. Next: at SMU, Saturday

7. Baylor (3-0) beat Buffalo 63-21, Friday. Next: at Iowa State, Sept. 27

8. LSU (3-0) beat Louisiana Monroe 31-0. Next: vs. Mississippi State, Saturday — Another shutout for one of the SEC’s most underrated teams.

9. Notre Dame (3-0) beat Purdue 30-14. Next vs. Syracuse, Sept. 27

10. Ole Miss (3-0) beat Louisiana Lafayette 56-15. Next: vs. Memphis, Sept. 27 — Bo Wallace was terrific during the Rebels’ third consecutive convincing win.

11. UCLA (3-0) beat Texas 20-17. Next: at Arizona State, Sept. 25

12. Arizona State (2-0) leads Colorado

13. South Carolina (2-1) beat Georgia 38-35. Next: at Vanderbilt, Saturday — Steve Spurrier’s squad kept their streak inside the Top 25 alive with an emotional three-point over Georgia. The Gamecocks move 10 spots from No. 24 into the Top 15.

14. Stanford (2-1) beat Army 35-0. Next: at Washington, Sept. 27

15. Georgia (1-1) loss at South Carolina 38-35. Next: vs. Troy, Saturday — The Bulldogs plummet out of the Top 10 after their third consecutive road loss at South Carolina.

16. Michigan State (1-1) BYE. Next: vs. Eastern Michigan, Saturday

17. Missouri (3-0) beat UCF 38-10. Next: vs. Indiana, Saturday — Another impressive performance from the Tigers and elite quarterback Maty Mauk against the toughest opponent thus far this season.
