‘Separation Saturday’ delivered in grand fashion as four of the nation’s top six teams fell for the first time since 1990, including Oregon’s Thursday night loss to Arizona.

The most upset-filled day in recent history featured Ole Miss’ first-ever win over a top-ranked team, Mississippi State’s statement win over Texas A&M and TCU’s escape of Oklahoma in Ft. Worth.

1. Florida State (5-0) beat Wake Forest, 43-3. Next: at Syracuse, Saturday

2. Auburn (5-0) beat LSU, 41-7. Next: at Mississippi State, Saturday — Auburn needed a statement and made one against LSU and a bad-tackling defense. There will be a few voters who provide a top-ranked nod.

3. Baylor (5-0) beat Texas, 28-7. Next: vs. TCU, Saturday

4. Notre Dame (5-0) beat Stanford, 17-14. Next: vs. North Carolina, Saturday

5. Ole Miss (5-0) beat Alabama, 23-17. Next: at Texas A&M, Saturday — One of the biggest wins in school history came in the national spotlight, keeping the Rebels unbeaten at 5-0 for the first time since 1962.

6. Mississippi State (5-0) beat Texas A&M, 48-31. Next: vs. Auburn, Saturday — Dak Prescott added five touchdowns to his Heisman campaign as the bulldogs knocked off a Top 10 team for the second straight week.

7. UCLA (4-0) trails Utah. Next: vs. Oregon, Saturday

8. Michigan State (4-1) leads Nebraska. Next: at Purdue, Saturday

9. Alabama (4-1) lost to Ole Miss, 23-17. Next: at Arkansas, Saturday — The Crimson Tide’s third straight loss to a ranked team makes things very interesting in a well-balanced SEC West. Nick Saban’s group has a couple days to regroup before battling the Razorbacks.

10. Oregon (4-1) lost to Arizona, 31-24 (Thursday). Next: at UCLA, Saturday

11. Oklahoma (4-1) lost to TCU, 37-33. Next: vs. Texas, Saturday

12. Georgia (4-1) beat Vanderbilt 44-17. Next: at Missouri, Saturday — Todd Gurley dominated on the ground — and even completed a nifty 50-yard pass — as the Bulldogs won their third straight since a loss at South Carolina.

13. Texas A&M (5-1) lost to Mississippi State, 48-31. Next: vs. Ole Miss, Saturday — Kenny Hill was average, Texas A&M nearly had double-digit drops and the Aggies fell victim to the SEC West meatgrinder. Kevin Sumlin’s team gets the other Mississippi next.

14. Ohio State (4-1) beat Maryland, 52-24. Next: vs. Rutgers, Oct. 18

15. TCU (4-0) beat Oklahoma, 37-33. Next: at Baylor, Saturday

16. Arizona (5-0) beat Oregon, 31-24. Next: vs. Southern Cal, Saturday
