SEC Week 12 prop bets:

WHAT WILL IT TAKE FROM DAK PRESCOTT AT ALABAMA?

Options — 200 yards offense, 2 TD; 250 and 3; 300 and 4; 350 and 5

Projection: The national spotlight centers on the SEC once again this weekend for a pivotal Western Division showdown in Tuscaloosa featuring college football’s top-ranked team Mississippi State and one-loss Playoff hopeful Alabama. The Bulldogs’ run to No. 1 was made possible by Dak Prescott, arguably the most dynamic playmaker to come through Starkville in several decades. He must play well if Mississippi State wishes to upset the Crimson Tide as 8.5-point underdogs. Red zone scoring chances are always important, but big plays will play a role in Saturday’s game. Can Prescott get loose at the second level? Will he find De’Runnya Wilson or Jameon Lewis down the seam? The Bulldogs match up well and have already dissected multiple ranked teams offensively, but also haven’t faced the early first-quarter pressure of the most important game in program history either. Prescott needs a career game and that’s unlikely against Kirby Smart’s defense.

FLORIDA’S RUSHING YARDS VS. SOUTH CAROLINA

Options — 100 or fewer; 200 or more; 300 or more

Projection: We keeping it simple with this one. One of the SEC’s hottest rushing offenses against the league’s worst rushing defense. Easy bet, right? South Carolina has used its final bye week to do everything in its power to combat Matt Jones, Kelvin Taylor and dual-threat quarterback Treon Harris, including switching multiple players around on the defensive side of the football. Tackling has been the Gamecocks’ primary issue this season. They’ve been in position to make plays and haven’t. Over their last two victories, the Gators are averaging 316 yards rushing per game — the exact same number South Carolina’s given up during a four-game SEC losing streak. This one’s important to coordinator Lorenzo Ward. If the Gamecocks falter, making a bowl game becomes increasingly difficult at 4-6. We’ll go with 255 for the Gators.
