SEC Week 6 prop bets:

HOW MANY TIMES MUSCHAMP’S FUTURE IS MENTIONED AT TENNESSEE?

Options — 0-1; 2-3; 4 or more

Projection: With every big gain Florida’s defense allowed at Alabama, tweets and comments came in rapid succession. The majority of Gator Nation’s tired of their fourth-year coach. Last season’s demise soured Florida fans and a blowout loss to Alabama did nothing for their staunch opinion. Many have labeled Saturday’s game at Tennessee a must-win game for Muschamp and we’re going to hear it during the pre-game segment. If the Gators go three-and-out on their first possessions followed by a Vols touchdown, we’ll hear it again. It’s a safe bet that before halftime, Muschamp’s job security will be mentioned at least twice. Coming off a bye, Florida better play well.

NUMBER OF TURNOVERS BY OLE MISS QUARTERBACK BO WALLACE

Options — 0; 1; 2; 3 or more

Projection: Ole Miss isn’t upsetting Alabama if Bo Wallace makes bad decisions with the football. The Crimson Tide’s won all seven games during the Nick Saban era against the Rebels and holds a plus-11 turnover margin in those contests. In two career starts against Kirby Smart’s defense, Wallace has turned it over twice, given up a safety and hasn’t scored a touchdown. An early turnover could further rattle his confidence and provide Alabama with a chance to impose its will. We’ll go with one interception and a lost fumble.

COMBO BET: TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS FOR VANDERBILT + TODD GURLEY

Options — 0; 1; 2-3; 4 or more

Projection: Derek Mason’s tired of being the punching bag for bad SEC jokes, but his team’s deserved it based on their performance this season. Darrius Sims, a defensive back and special teamer, leads the Commodores in touchdowns (3) and what’s even more surprising is that Jerron Seymour, who scored 14 times last fall, hasn’t reached the end zone. Todd Gurley’s day could be short Saturday afternoon, so accurately guessing this prop bet’s difficult. We think he’ll score twice and Vanderbilt puts 14 points on the board. Disclaimer: we didn’t say those had to be offensive touchdowns. Let’s put the over-under at 4.
