SEC Week 7 prop bets:

HUTSON MASON’S PASSING NUMBERS AT MIZZOU

Options — Under 100 yards; 101-150; 151-200; 201 or more

Projection: The spotlight’s on Hutson Mason and the Georgia passing game now that Todd Gurley’s been forced to sit by the university while an impermissible benefits situation is sorted out. There’s no doubt Nick Chubb will get the bulk of the carries against the Tigers in the Bulldogs’ balanced pro-style attack, but Mason’s the guy who will win or lose this pivotal SEC East matchup. Mason’s underperformed in his last two games with three interceptions in 42 attempts and his confidence appears to be shaken on intermediate throws. He’ll need to play turnover-free and make good decisions against the best defensive front Georgia will face all season. Mason’s usual 145-yard outing sounds about right here which may not be enough for the Bulldogs on the road.

PRODUCTION FOR ALEX COLLINS + JONATHAN WILLIAMS VS. ALABAMA?

Options — Under 100 yards; over 150; over 200; over 250

Projection: Combining the rushing totals for the Razorbacks’ two top backs Saturday against Alabama is a chore, very difficult to predict considering the Crimson Tide’s coming off a loss and Arkansas a bye week. I’m predicting here, but one of the two players is going to eclipse 100 yards. Kirby Smart’s defense has shutout Arkansas back-to-back seasons and last fall, limited Collins and Williams to 125 yards rushing on 31 total carries. In an old-fashioned football game with a ton of between-the-tackle explosions, I see the Razorbacks managing at least 200 yards rushing as a unit.

TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS FOR DAK PRESCOTT VS. AUBURN

Options — 1; 2; 3; 4 or more

Projection: Mississippi State’s quarterback has been a touchdown machine this season, my current leader in the Heisman race. He’s done it through the air and on the ground as the SEC’s top dual threat. There’s another player on the opposite sideline on Saturday ready to show he’s just as talented. Nick Marshall’s been a forgotten man in the early going but kickstarted his top player campaign last week against LSU. To the victor goes a likely No. 1 ranking in the country, quite a feat for the Bulldogs considering they entered the season just outside of the Top 25. I’m going with four or more scores here for Prescott during a SEC West classic in Starkville.
