What would cause Richie Incognito to throw items at gym employees, throw a weight into a pool and then attempt to push a workout sled into the gym patron? He believed the government was tracking and recording him.

That’s apparently what happened recently at a Boca Raton gym. Police were called following Incognito’s bizarre behavior and he reportedly told them “they didn’t have high enough clearance” to be told what was going on. Following the incident, Incognito was sent to involuntary psychiatric care by authorities.

This information comes from a police report obtained by Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

The accusations against Incognito came just two days after he was released by the Buffalo Bills. Incognito also played for the Miami Dolphins during his NFL career.

According to the police report, Incognito said someone wearing headphones at the gym set him off. This quote from Incognito comes directly from the police report:

“There’s a guy walking around with head phones on. I’m running NSA class level 3 documents through my phone. I can’t have anybody in blue tooth capability of me or taking pictures of me.”

That’s when Incognito allegedly told the police they didn’t have the clearance for him to go into further detail.

If the former Bill and Dolphin lineman really is working for the government, he has the perfect name to be a covert operative. Although, by the sounds of it, he just blew his cover at a Boca Raton gym without much coaxing.
