Two prominent SEC alumni could have new roles at ESPN.

Outkick The Coverage’s Bobby Burack was first to report that ESPN is finalizing its plan to revamp the daily “NFL Live” show with a permanent cast including Florida alumna Laura Rutledge and LSU football great Marcus Spears. The report states that Dan Orlovsky would also be a permanent cast member on “NFL Live.”

All three are current regulars on the “Get Up” morning show. Per Burack’s report, Rutledge would move away from her daily role on “Get Up” while Spears and Orlovsky would still be involved. The report notes that “NFL Live” currently broadcasts from Bristol, Connecticut while “Get Up” broadcasts from New York City.

The Outkick report does not state what the “NFL Live” gigs would mean as far as college football coverage for Rutledge and Spears, who are regulars on ESPN and the SEC Network.

Andrew Marchand of The New York Post also reported that sources told him Rutledge is replacing current “NFL Live” host Wendi Nix.
