Report: High school football game in Florida halted after 2 adults are shot
Football is supposed to be something that brings communities together, but sometimes, fans take the rivalries too far.
On Friday night, a high school game in south Florida was stopped prematurely after gunfire erupted outside the stadium during a matchup between Palm Beach Central and William T. Dwyer High School.
According to Palm Beach Post reporter Ryan DiPentima, police say that two people were injured in the shooting, one of whom is in critical condition. DiPentima added that no arrests had been made:
UPDATE: FHP says that two people are being treated at the hospital following the shooting at the Palm Beach Central football game tonight. One person is in critical condition. No suspect in custody.

The game ended with approximately eight minutes remaining and Palm Beach Central holding a 5-3 lead. Thankfully, it doesn’t appear any players were injured, though on fan was trampled fleeing the scene:

Police rushed to the scene, evacuating the stadium and landing a helicopter on the field to help treat the victims.
