Report: Hurricane Dorian forces cancellation of college football game
Two days after Presbyterian’s game at Stetson was called off because of Hurricane Dorian, a second game was cancelled.
Officials at Southeastern Louisiana said its team’s scheduled game at Bethune-Cookman on Saturday has been cancelled because of the expected effects of the hurricane on the Daytona Beach, Florida area. That game won’t be made up.
PC instead added Mercer to be played on Saturday.
“After the disappointment of last week’s cancellation, we are excited to be able to get back on the field against a good Mercer team at home this weekend,” said Head Coach Tommy Spangler, according to a release from the school. “I am excited to be able to get back in front of our home fans and get the season underway.”
