Paul Finebaum’s contract with ESPN and the SEC Network was set to expire at the end of July, and things were getting down to the wire in the negotiations.

However, it appears fans of Finebaum’s popular show can breathe a sigh of relief, according to a report that came out on Thursday afternoon.

Per USA TODAY’s Dan Wolken, Finebaum is expected to re-sign with the Worldwide Leader, with an announcement expected to be made on Friday:

Different reports in recent weeks have had Finebaum threatening to skip SEC Media Days and also listening to offers from FOX and the Big Ten Network (of which FOX is a majority owner).

Now, though, it appears he’ll remain with ESPN and the SEC Network, which he helped make into the popular network it is today.
