Central Florida head coach Scott Frost has accepted an offer to become the next head coach at Nebraska, according to multiple reports.

College football insider Brett McMurphy was first to report the news on Saturday afternoon.

Frost has agreed to a 7-year deal with Nebraska worth $35 million, McMurphy said. He also apparently had “serious cold feet” leading up to the decision.

It’s understandable that Frost would feel at least some remorse, considering that he has done an incredible job of turning around UCF in the past two seasons.

Frost led UCF to a 62-55 victory over Memphis on Saturday in the AAC Championship Game. The Knights, which are now 12-0, were 0-12 in 2015 before he took over.

Here’s the report from McMurphy:

As expected, Frost was asked about the reports he had accepted the Nebraska job just minutes after his UCF team defeated Memphis.

Frost played for Nebraska from 1995 to 1997 and served as a graduate assistant in Lincoln in 2002.
