On Monday, it surfaced that recently fired Ohio State assistant Zach Smith had been arrested back in 2013 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

That prompted even more questions about what coach Urban Meyer knew and when, and it certainly wasn’t a good look for the Buckeyes.

However, on Monday afternoon, Smith’s attorney said that Meyer knew nothing about the 2013 OVI arrest:

It seems implausible that Meyer wouldn’t know what was going on with his staff, but it is possible.

What this means for Ohio State’s investigation is unclear at this point, as it’s impossible to tell how many more twists and turns this case will take.
