Reports: Half of FCS team suspended
Charleston Southern was already guaranteed to be in for a tough game against FSU. Social media chatter by various players suggests that it might now be dangerously difficult.
A Facebook post by Charleston Southern RB Ben Robinson says that more than 30 players are being suspended by the NCAA due to using funds for textbooks at the school bookstore for other items, something they were instructed to do by bookstore employees:

With FCS scholarships capped at 63, that means that Charleston Southern will likely be without half its team. As some have pointed out, that makes playing the game against FSU potentially dangerous for the eligible players.
Charleston Southern may suspend 30+ players for FSU game. If true, just forfeit. That's really dangerous to play. https://t.co/KhhgbR6GUD

One Charleston Southern offensive lineman has said that he is suspended “along with the rest of my offensive line”:

It’s not surprising that the NCAA is being ripped for the suspensions:
Awful…. RT @bstCASEscenario: This thing at Charleston southern is absurd.

Seriously, why don't we just let the Charleston Southern kids play in this game and sit out the Monmouth game or whatever? NCAA can do this.

Wait, so Charleston Southern is going into the FSU game with even less players now? Yikes…..ncaa at its finest it seems
