NFL releases statement following allegations against Patriots owner Robert Kraft
If you missed the bombshell news on Friday from Florida, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft will be charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution following the conclusion of a human trafficking and prostitution ring investigation down by Florida authorities.
Jupiter police held a press conference confirming the news and claim to have video evidence of the acts, which occurred in a number of Florida day spas. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, names of 25 people involved in the sting have been released with another 175 still to come. There has been some speculation that another high-profile suspect will be named in the future.
Be that as it may, the biggest name thus far to come out has been Kraft’s. Following the news, the NFL has released the following statement:
“The NFL is aware of the ongoing law enforcement matter and will continue to monitor developments.”
It’s important to note, a spokesman for Kraft has denied the allegations against him with the following statement:
“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.”
